One day someone asked me, "What about this? As a Youth Pastor, are you always challenged with discouragement when working with young people?"
This is probably the first time that an inquirer has ever asked me about me, so
I'll take a moment to share my response with you. Of course, I deal with discouragement when I work with young people! However, I don't allow it to hinder my walk with the Lord in ministry. Young people do some really dumb things from time to time
without giving any thought to the consequences that they will have to face. When a young teenage girl gets pregnant or a young teenage boy gets locked up, it can break the hearts of those who have been laboring for them to be successful in life.  S.W.A.T. encourages teens to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to translate their faith into appropriate attitudes and actions. S.W.A.T. helps youth discover their unique set of spiritual gifts and how to witness and minister to friends and family. S.W.A.T.'s Friday Night Bible Study provides an opportunity for the teens to come together for prayer, studying the Word, encouragement, accountability and spiritual growth.
S.W.A.T. is held on every 3rd Friday of the Month. Services alternate between locations every month.

Are You Saved?
What is Salvation?
Salvation is a free gift from God. It means to be made whole and includes deliverance, prosperity, healing and victory.
What does it mean to be Born-again?
Being Born Again or Saved means to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, when you become born-again you are saved and become a new creature in Christ.
How do I become Born again?
You become born again by believing and confessing. Romans 10:9 says ?That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.?
Dear God in Heaven,
I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your Word says, he that cometh to You, You would no wise cast out, but that You would take me in, and I thank You for it. You also said, That if I CONFESS with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall BELIEVE in my heart that God has raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, I shall be SAVED. Therefore, according to Your Word I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He (Jesus) was raised from the dead for my justification, and I confess Him now as my Lord and Savior. I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ and I thank You for saving me in Jesus' name.
AMEN. Welcome to the Family of God! Your next step is to find a good Bible believing, Bible teaching church and start to attend regularly. You must also read the Bible so that you can grow in your love for God and the knowledge of His ways.
